Cervus are proud to announce that we have appointed Amanda Coleman as our Chief Scientific Officer.
Amanda has over 20 years’ experience in leading Strategic Experimentation and Advisory Programmes, both within government and as part of industry.
She started her journey as an engineering apprentice within the MoD, then shifted her attention to Force Development and Capability Studies at Dstl. She then was promoted to Assistant Head of Development and Research at the MoD’s Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre (DCDC). For over 5 years she led a multi-disciplined team which delivered research, analysis and experimentation to support the development of doctrine, concepts, policy and strategy. She then spent the last 8 years working for QinetiQ, making the transition to wider government and international programmes and complex decision services.
Alan Roan, Cervus’ Managing Director said:
Amanda is a fantastic addition to our expanding team. She brings a strategic perspective that gets to the root of the complex problems we are increasingly being asked to help solve and her analysis and experimentation pedigree is second to none. We think she will enjoy the chaos of working for a young and entrepreneurial company and we can’t wait to see where she takes us, particularly as we explore wider international markets. Amanda is the final ingredient within our recent business transformation, and she is the catalyst that will enable us to provide governments with a systematic, user focused and data driven approach to innovation.
I first met Paddy and Al whilst working as Assistant Director of Development and Research at MoD’s Development, Concepts and Doctrine Centre and I’ve since kept a keen interest in Cervus. I can see that it is a forward-leaning, dynamic and innovative company determined to change the way organisations think about their decisions and their impact on those on the frontline. Cervus’ inclusive and collaborative approach shines out for me, and they have a great reputation for delivering on their promises which is why I am delighted to join the team. I am excited about bringing my experience to helping Cervus to grow their innovation offering both in the UK and internationally.
